Originally from the UK and with a Degree in Archaeology it has been a long path that has led me to massage.
After spending a number of years behind a desk as a Law Costs Draftsman in Nottingham, UK calculating solicitors costs, I decided to uproot and go on an adventure to Canada, originally to Whistler and later to Kelowna. Whilst living in Whistler I worked in a Guest Services role at the Scandinave Spa, this is where my interest in holistic healing began. The Scandinave Spa was a silent spa that spoke of the benefits of hydrotherapy on the body, promoting healing through hot and fiercely cold treatments, alongside relaxation and massage therapy.
On moving to Kelowna, after a short stint Landscaping, I ended up back behind a desk, where I remained on moving to Australia. After a few years living and working in Australia, I made a decision, working at a desk wasn't working for me any longer, on the verge of burnout and suffering both physical and mental deterioration, I decided something needed to change! This is where massage therapy comes in!
I had always been passionate about wanting to help others and set to work thinking about how I could best do this. Having experienced many massage treatments through my life, either for muscle related issues, relaxation or beauty, I recalled fondly how wonderful I felt following each treatment, the benefits of the massage therapy reaching far and wide. After talking to a few colleagues and fellow massage therapists, I took steps to retrain!
After working for various other parties, The Muscle Rescue Lab was born in April 2023. Since this time I have dedicated myself to helping others achieve holistic wellness and balance through the power of touch.
My approach to massage therapy is rooted in empathy, intuition, and a deep understanding of the human body. Whether you're seeking relaxation, pain relief, or rehabilitation, I tailor each session to address your unique needs and preferences. From Swedish and deep tissue to Lomi Lomi and remedial massage, I offer a variety of techniques to promote healing and rejuvenation.
Beyond my technical skills, I strive to create a warm, welcoming, and safe space for every client. I believe that effective therapy goes beyond the physical; it's about fostering trust, connection, and genuine care. My goal is to not only alleviate your discomfort but also leave you feeling refreshed, revitalised, and empowered on your wellness journey.
When I'm not in the treatment room, you can often find me reading, walking, at the beach, watching my son's sports, doing Pilates or sewing. These activities not only keep me balanced and energised but also deepen my understanding of the mind-body connection.

I believe that continual learning is paramount for massage therapists to maintain professional competence and provide optimal care for their clients. As the field of massage therapy evolves with new techniques, research findings, and technology, ongoing education ensures that I stay updated and proficient in my practice. Learning allows me to refine my skills, explore innovative methods, and adapt to changing client needs and preferences. Additionally, staying informed about advancements in anatomy, physiology, and pathology enhances my ability to assess and address clients' specific conditions effectively. Ultimately, committed learning fosters confidence, expertise, and trust between myself and my clients, helping to promote better outcomes and overall satisfaction with the treatment experience.
My current areas of study are:
- Practitioner of Pregnancy Massage (Pregnancy Massage Australia)
- Joint Therapeutics Course (ACE - Advanced Clinical Education)
- Thai Foot Reflexology Massage Certificate (Mark Perren-Jones)
